SCM-Yamaha Golf Partnership
In September of 2002, Sports Cart Media, SCM entered into a five-year exclusive agreement to have Yamaha Golf Car Manufacturing Company serve as the official manufacturer of all Sports Cart Media mobile advertising vehicles. Under this arrangement, Yamaha will partner with SCM to build proprietary products that will be designed exclusively for Sports Cart Media. This partnership led to the design and January 2003 introduction of the SCM Fairway Lounge at the 2003 Golf Club Managers Association of America Expo at which the product won rave reviews and interest from pay-to-play and private clubs alike.

"We are very excited about this partnership," Donald Meyers, Chief Operating Officer for Sports Cart Media said at a press event at the Expo to announce the SCM Fairway Lounge. "Yamaha gives us a world-class manufacturing process, outstanding ingenuity and with our first product an outstanding vehicle that redefines golf course beverage units," Myers said in reference to the Yamaha/SCM partnership and the SCM Fairway Lounge.

Under the terms of this agreement, Yamaha will manufacture and provide maintenance for the full fleet of SCM Fairway Lounge vehicles. Yamaha will also work with SCM's Operations staff to work with golf course managers and owners to introduce and integrate the SCM concept into golf courses in the top 25 major markets and resorts.

Meyers made special note of the size and easy maintenance of the SCM Fairway Lounge. "This new product has the largest inventory space on the market. The SCM Fairway Lounge carries 560 cans which is 130 more cans than any competitive, non-industrial unit on the market. And with our new flip-top capability maintenance on the Fairway Lounge will be easy for Yamaha's maintenance staff. We look forward to a great and long lasting relationship with Yamaha," said Meyers.
